Hello,
I am setting up a new Veeam server on a windows server 2016 (our IT department has not yet approved Win server 2019) and wondering what would be the benefit of a local administrator service account or a domain service account for B&R vs. the default recommended System Account during B&R setup.
In addition would you have a recommendation for setup instructions with step by step explanation for a small business appliance type of setup?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Service account or System Account
Hello VeeBR and welcome to the community!
The ability to choose local system or a custom user account with the necessary privileges was dictated by a security reasons, sometimes the usage of the local system is restricted by group policy, for example.
You can check the simple deployment scenario which is perfect for a small business setup. Also, review this article about Sizing and system requirements in the best practices Veeam portal.
Thanks!
