SmartSwitch or SvMotion recommendation

I was trying to find out whether it is better to use smartswitch (Force veeam quick migration) or use SvMotion (on licensed hosts). I am sorry but I couldn't find a recommendation on this only this:

Moving the VM with VMware Storage vMotion or hot replication may require a lot of time and resources, or it may cause loss of valuable data.

which makes me believe that smartswitch is better than SvMotion.

VMware Storage vMotion is certainly the better way, if you have it licensed.
