Hello,
Anybody knows where Veeam keeps the transactional logs backup when you select to "Backup logs periodically" ?
Documentation says that Veeam saves them in files of VBL format next to VM image-level backup, but I can´t find them.
Thank you

Re: SQL transactional log backup
Hello claudiofolu,
You are correct, the logs are stored as .vlb(s) should be with the corresponding SQL Server VM backups in the repository folder (by default, \Backup\<SQL_server_VM_backup_job_name>).
Note that the retention policy of logs can differ from VM backups. Are we talking about backup job? Since logs can not be moved by backup copy or tape jobs. Thanks!

Re: SQL transactional log backup
Thank you for your answer.
It´s a backup job, no copy or tape jobs related.
Backup job have been running since a couple days now, and transactional logs backup every 60 minutes.
Strange thing is that I can´t find those .vbl files, and when I try to do a restore, I can select to any point in time, so transactional logs are present in the backup.

Re: SQL transactional log backup
Just try to search given directory or volume, using native OS capabilities (*.vlb mask). Thanks.
