Hi,
We have a 9TB replica that needs to be reseeded to our DR site because it's corrupted. I'm aware you can copy a regular backup to a repo and use that to reseed a replica, but is it possible to use a backup copy to do the same thing? We already have a daily backup-copy job to do the DR site so it'd be preferable to use that if possible.
I guess the other way would be to use the backup copy to do a full VM restore (suffixing the VMs name with _replica when it's restored into VMware), and using the mapping function in the replica job to point to that?
Could someone advise the best method, as ideally I'd rather not re-replicate 9TB over the WAN. Last time I had to do that, it took almsot 5 days ...
Thanks !!

Re: Using a backup copy to reseed replica VM?
Yes, you can use backup produced by the backup copy job to seed the replica.
