VBK File browser?

Post by Backupper »

Is there a way to see one single file from a big .vbk file?

Here is what happend, on our fileserver we lost one single but very importend file. Is it really nesseary to put the whole back up back, or is there a way to retrive one single file from the .vbk backup?

Is there a VKB File Brower or something like that?

No, it's not required.

Can you see the corresponding backup file under "Backups" node? If so, you can right click on required restore point, and select "Guest files" type of restore. Once it's done, you will be provided with convenient browser, using which you will be able to restore whatever individual file you want to.

Thanks.

BTW, if you were using indexing option, you can also search for the required files through VBK files via Enterprise Manager.
