Hi All,
Is there a supported path to roll back from Veeam 9 to Veeam 8? We've got an issue where our NetApp SteelStore device will not support Veeam 9, and the engineers have told us that we need to revert back to Veeam 8 to fix the issue, else we face not having any copy jobs working correctly as well as low retention on our backups. The SteelStore device has an internal patch to support Veeam 8, but the fix is not operable on their device for Veeam 9.As described by the engineer:
The SteelStore appliance 'pins' certain metadata portions of backup files on the appliance to force non-eviction of such metadata. If these files are attempted to be deleted while the file handles are still open, the deletion might fail.
We need to go back from V9 to V8 to make sure we are properly covered on a data protection standpoint as you can understand.

There's no rollback path for the existing installation, you would have to deploy another instance of v8.

If you still have a configuration backup from before the upgrade, restoring that configuration backup will save you some effort after installing the new instance of v8.
