Veeam and FreeBSD

Hello,

we are running a freenas vm (FreeBSD 11.2-STABLE), and i got 2 issues :

1- veeam cannot index files because the mlocate package does not exists while the locate command is installed. is there a workaround for this ?

2- the flr appliance doesn't mount the backup, the filesystem is ZFS, what it is the compatility between veeam and this fs type or with freebsd ?

Hi,

1. Unfortunately there is no failover to locate.

2. FLR from ZFS to BSD is not supported as currently FLR appliance is missing some of the required components, that should be fixed in future releases.

Given that, I can only suggest you to try performing Instant Recovery of the VM, and copy files from it manually.

The mount problem is marked as "solved" for U4b (which also contains lots of other fixes and improvements), so you should probably give it a try.
