Veeam Backup Deleting Backups

Hi Team,

We have a strange situation here. It seems Veeam Backup is deleting backups . l notice there is a backend command which runs on the backup server . Any idea why this is so ?

Hi Dandemutande,

First: Welcome to the forums
Second: Veeam Backup can indeed delete backups if they are out of retention (which it should do). Can you elaborate a bit more on what exactly you are seeing?

Thanks for your response. Our retention policy is the default 7 restore points but we notice everything is getting deleted , this even includes full backups that we ran today. Could there be a database corruption somehow ? The Windows Veeam event viewer is not saying much .

That behavior is indeed not intended, so please do as Foggy suggests.
