VeeamFLR orphan objects

Post by googlemad »

I had to restore a few files using the 'Other OS' option in Veeam.

Looking in vSphere, there are a number of 'VeeamFLR' orphan objects now in the cluster.

How would I go about removing these as I no longer require access to the backups in question?

Thanks :)

John, normally the FLR appliance (I suppose this is what are you talking about) is deleted automatically after FLR process is finished. One of the possible reasons for the record to still exist in vSphere client, is that probably the host the appliance was deployed on had been added to Veeam B&R console as standalone (not through vCenter) and the appliance was removed directly via this host making vCenter server unaware of that. You are safe to just clean these obsolete records. Thanks.
