VeeamGuestHelper.exe not stopping

Hi all,

Thought I'd check on here for obvious fixes before bothering the lovely support folks..

I've got a particular VM (Server 2012 r2) that's failing to backup the second time the job runs. I've tracked this down to the fact that the VeeamGuestHelper.exe is failing to terminate after the previous job, along with the VeeamVssSupport service that's still showing on the services list.

This is showing up in the processes list in SysInternals Process Explorer. I can kill off the thread, which then also makes the service go away, but the subsequent time the job runs it again fails with the same error about VeeamGuestHelper. I can restart the server (fortunately it's a relatively dormant member server) which cleans things up and the next job runs OK.

Just wondering whether there's any obvious reason for why the process should fail to terminate?

Chris, please get in touch with our lovely support folks. ;) No obvious fixes are available, logs need to be investigated for the actual reason of this behavior. Thanks.
