We are using VeeamZIP v9 free edition. Every time I do a restore it the VMDK files are eager zeroed instead of the original lazy zeroed format. I found the PDF linked below that indicates if you add the registry key EagerZeroedDiskRestore to 0 it should restore as lazy zeroed but it still doesn't work. Am I missing something? I need to be able to restore lazy zeroed.

Re: VeeamZIP - Force Lazy Zeroed?
Rick, please check whether you're specifying the correct registry value:
If everything is correct, please contact support for a closer look.
Code: Select all
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication
EagerZeroedDiskRestore (DWORD) = 0
