Is there any possibility to use VM/Host Groups (specified at the cluster level) to specify VMs in a backup job?
We have a single cluster which has hypervisors in multiple physical sites. We will be controlling which VMs run in which physical sites using VM/Host Groups. We also want Veeam to back up based on physical site, but Veeam doesn't offer VM/Host Groups in the backup criteria?
The only option we see is to configure VMs with both tags and rules. But to avoid misconfiguation errors we'd prefer to not do that.
Ideas/alternatives?

Re: VM/Host Groups as backup selection criteria
Hello Wayne,
There is no option to use VM/Host Groups as container unfortunately, you can use either infrastructure containers (for example resources pools) or tags. Since both are expanded to a VM level during the backup you will see the exact list of machines being processed by such job anyway. Thank you!
