Hi all
We've got a strange issue since weeks which VMware support was not able to resolve. This is not Veeam related, but as Veeam does a lot of tasks it is the primary victim of this error. The issue manifests itself with tasks that normally takes merely seconds to complete now takes up to 40 minutes, e.g. updating notes, reconfiguring VMs, removing snapshots etc. They will complete in the end, but with huge delay causing backup jobs to break backup window. The issue is temporarily resolved by restarting management agents on affected esxi server, but will return after about 3-4 weeks. Then the issue "wanders" to the next host, and on and on. Neither we nor VMware support were able lock down the issue to a certain host, cluster, driver or firmware. Only common thing is esxi build 3380124. We don't want to update yet to update 2 because of kb2144968, this issue is far more easy to handle than a psod.
Has anyone experienced something similar and did you find a solution?
Thanks in advance
Christian

Re: vSphere 6.0U1b tasks take very long time
Hi Christian, did the issue show up before you moved/upgraded to the current vSphere build?
