Waiting for the additional licenses

I need to add a new ESXi node (with 2 CPUs) to an existing vSphere infrastructure.
I ordered the additional licenses but up to now I did not get them.
I will get them in a few days.
What is supposed to happen if I add the new node without moving VMs subject to backup to it?
Can my existing jobs go on working with the current licenses even if the overall number of CPUs excedes the number of licensed CPUs or will the job fail waiting for the icenses for the additional CPUs?

Nothing should happen, as long as you do not backup or replicate VMs residing on a new host. Thanks.
