Very Slow Response in Business view

We have business view and monitor running on the same server. Both applications have their databases on a seperate SQL server. When we connect to the business view web site, it sometimes takes 5 minutes to show the report screen. there is only one warning message in the log.txt which is;

2011-01-20 16:09:15,925 [8] WARN Application [(null)] - Application_EndRequest: /CommonDataHandler.ashx?proxy&v=2, status 304 Not Modified

is there something to tune in the business view configuration?

Hi Ilkay,

Do you have any other applications running on the same IIS server? What's the current load on your SQL server?

no other application is running under the same IIS, only Business View. The SQL server is a consolidated db server which has multiple databases. The problem is, when you first connect to business view for the first time, it takes a very long time to load, but if you hold the page open and refresh it, it loads very fast.

Ilkay,

Seems like every time you first open a BV webserver all the content is being cached, that is why every subsequent request is much faster. That said, I'm still not sure why it takes you up to 5 minutes to open the BV console for the first time. Could you please reach out our support team with this issue and email me your ticket number?
