I'm wanting to make my backup jobs DRS aware. Isn't it possible to configure backup jobs to use folders rather than hosts or VMs? I've looked and for the life of me can't find where to do this. I'm on ESXi 5.0/Veeam V7 Patch4.
Thanks for the guidance.

Re: Configure Backup Job to use ESX Folders
Hi Tony,
Backing up VMs via VM folders is possible even now. Can you please tell me what view are you using to configure your backup jobs?
See our User Guide for more details > http://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/70/v ... ms_vm.html
Thanks!

Re: Configure Backup Job to use ESX Folders
I'm using the wizard. The difference is that in my Add Objects windows I do not see the data center or cluster, only my four hosts. That is using the Hosts and Clusters view. My vCenter server and Veeam are on the same physical box. The Veeam server is not provisioned in backup infrastructure, only the four hosts.

I added the vCenter server to Backup Infrastructure and that resolved my issue. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, vCenter Server has to be added, if you want to make your jobs vMotion aware and use VM containers to backup your VMs.
