VM not responding during backup

Hi,

We are using Veeam Backup version 4.1 to backup our vm.
On the end of the backup (latest 20 minutes) the vm is no longer responding.
When the backup is finished, the vm is responding again.

Hello Arend,

Most likely you have this issue on snapshot delete operation, cause it consolidates all the changes that have occurred to the source VM while backup job was run. What version of ESX host are you using? What type of the VM you have this issue with? Is it highly transactional?

We are running ESXi 4.0.0, 208167.
On our server is another snapshot available, maybe this old snapshot causes the problem.

After removing the snapshot, the problem is solved.
