SureBackup Ping Test failing
I'm getting a ping test failure when running a SureBackup for a Windows 2003 server (Delta). The production IP for Delta is 10.1.255.23 with SM of 255.255.0.0. When the Delta VM is powered on by SureBackup it is given the same IP as the production VM - 10.1.255.23. On my Veeam server the following route has been added by SureBackup - 11.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 10.1.0.94 10.1.255.66 6. The IP info for the virtual lab is listed below.

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
Is this the only VM that fails the ping test? Have you tried increasing max VM boot time?

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
It is happening to multiple VMs - Windows 2003 & 2012. The only successful ones I've had so far has been Windows 2008. The common thread in the failures is that the IP address assigned to the VM in the SureBackup job is the same IP that the production VM has. On the successful jobs the SureBackup VM has been assigned an 11.x.x.x IP address.

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
Actually, VMs in the virtual lab isolated network should have the same IP addresses as in the production network. This is one of the basic concepts of SureBackup. I suggest contacting technical support to verify your configuration.

What did you find out? Same issue here on my end.

Chris, probably contacting technical support directly and asking engineer to verify your setup will be faster than waiting for Doug's reply.

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
This was resolved through a combination of virtual lab router and VM firewall changes.

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
Thanks. I called support and they pointed me to the KB I had already gone through. I don't see any firewall issues on my setup. What had to happen on the lab router? Can you share that with me?

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
I changed Networking from Basic single-host to advanced single-host.

Re: SureBackup Ping Test failing
Were there any changes needed once you did that? I've done the same thing. Did you change the IP of the virtual lab or the scope of IPs it hands out?
