Duplicate "Insert a tape to continue" warning
Hi,
after V8 / patch 1 I finally get the email notification whenever I need to insert a new tape... that's a great improvement and enables me to offload tape handling to a colleague if necessary
But I always get two email with a few seconds delay between each.
No big deal, but is there any way to switch that off?
thanks
Thomas

Re: Duplicate "Insert a tape to continue" warning
Hi Thomas,
It may be caused by notification rules duplication, for instance if you set different global and job-specific recipients where global destination is a member of a group of job-specific destination.
Could you specify your notification options? Do you use only global email notifications or you defined per-job notifications as well?
And there is also a probability of a bug.
Thanks.

Re: Duplicate "Insert a tape to continue" warning
Hi Nikita,
I have the same global and job specific recipient settings - both go to my email address.
I now changed the job setting to "use global settings" and will see what happens next

Thanks, Thomas.
By design if you have exactly same destination values in global and job-specific setting, you should get only one notification. Will see what is going to happen in a case of global settings only.
Please keep us updated.

this did not change anything, still getting two notifications.
I will now uncheck "send the email notification to the following recipients" and see what happens next
regards

Re: Duplicate "Insert a tape to continue" warning
Hi Thomas and thanks for updating.
It looks like an unexpected behavior, so I asked our QA team to double-check the issue to make sure if it`s a bug.
I`ll let you know the result once the testing is done.
