Veeam 7 - Restore Testing

Post by Khue »

Hey all,

I need to do restore testing. I don't want to restore over top of any of my existing VMs, but I would like to simply bring up the restored VM in a sandbox environment. I think there's a way to do this in Veeam, but I am unsure of what I am looking for in the Admin Guide. I currently have 4 backup sets that all reside on a pretty beefy Data Domain box. The goal is to bring one VM online from each backup set, take some screen shots, then shut it down and delete the restored VM as it's only temporary.

Any ideas?

I think what you are looking for is the Virtual Lab; more information can be found via http://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/80/v ... _vlab.html

You can also use SureBackup for automatic testing without doing the work yourself.
