Hello,

What account do you use to connect to vCenter Server? Is it a full admin for the entire datacenter?

Thanks!

That's strange, cause the error above states something about wrong permissions. Let's wait what our support team finds out after reviewing the debug log files.

I'm also not sure about your setup. Do you have only host local storage and try to use direct SAN mode?

Correct. Direct SAN mode requires that your VMs are stored on SAN.

Does the proxy server have access to the source datastore? Kindly, also check this KB article describing limitations of using hotadd mode. Thanks.

yes,it's Virtual Machine on a host where source VM’s disks are stored.

Have you checked the limitations mentioned in the referenced article? If none of them applies to your infrastructure, open a ticket with out support team and let them find out the root cause.

As mentioned above, if described limiations don't apply to your situation, and the said issue still persists, opening a ticket might be the best idea. Thanks.
