i have esx host that vms are on it's local datastore.
my repository is on san.
i have physical backup server that directly connect to san.
LUN appeared in Windows Disk Management.
That's strange, cause the error above states something about wrong permissions. Let's wait what our support team finds out after reviewing the debug log files.

I'm also not sure about your setup. Do you have only host local storage and try to use direct SAN mode?

yes,it's Virtual Machine on a host where source VM’s disks are stored.
Have you checked the limitations mentioned in the referenced article? If none of them applies to your infrastructure, open a ticket with out support team and let them find out the root cause.
As mentioned above, if described limiations don't apply to your situation, and the said issue still persists, opening a ticket might be the best idea. Thanks.
