Data collector service - Sudden Very High memory usage

Hi!

Suddenly, Veeam data collector service is using all the memory.
Anyone seen this, is this expected? Should I expect a scheduled job to collect data that uses a lot of resources?

Are you talking about Veeam Management Pack and its Data Collector used to gather information from VMware infrastructure?

This is right on the veeam server, there is a process called "Veeam Data Collector Service"

I don't believe this is the same thing you are referring to..

so after looking a little further, this is part of Veeam one.
We just installed veeam one on the server which already had veeam backup and replication.

Where do you have the Veeam ONE server installed on VM or physical server?

Veeam data collector service is using all the memory.

How much GB of memory does it take?

Just to add - Veeam collection engine should not take all the RAM available. What version of Veeam ONE are you at?

What is the process name and how much memory does it consume?

After the back up job runs the VeeamDCS.exe memory usage stays at 13,000,000 K and kills the server; after the backup finishes, I have to manually stop the VeeamDCS.exe process to get the server back to normal.

I also ran the 9.0 upgrade on my other 2008 R2 Veeam Server and no problems with that one.
