backup a Win2012R2 traditional shared disk Cluster

Hi all,

We are just deploying BizTalk 2013 R2 in HA. For this, we have to use a Windows Shared Disk Cluster for SQL as this is the only supported Cluster configuration from MS running on VMware.

So trying to work out how we can backup the SQL Servers with B&R V8.

I have been reading about using Endpoint backup to take a backup of the host drive. But is it safe to install it on a server that already has SQL server running on it?

Yes, it's totally safe. Please check this article on how backup actually works and, if any questions arise, feel free to ask. Also please check this thread as you might want to disable log truncation.
