Running backup jobs on certain days

Post by KiwiJJ »

Hi,
Over the holiday period I changed all of our backups jobs to "run on these days" and set it up to run on Tuesday to Thursday to cater for public holidays. Normally the jobs are set to "Run on week-days". The backups still ran on the Mondays and Fridays I had set the jobs up not to run. Any ideas on why this would be the case ?

thanks,

John

Hi. This can happen if full backups are scheduled to run on these days... or if the job was triggered by something else. Our support can say for sure after reviewing the debug logs. Thanks!

Thanks Anton, Full backups are scheduled for every day anyway. I'll open a case to find out what happened.

That's the reason why the job still runs on Fridays and Mondays. Thanks.

Hi Vladimir,
Ok that sorted it, looks like I only changed the days on the schedule page and not the storage page as well.

thanks,

Full backup schedule predominates over ordinary schedule, indeed. So, if neither incremental nor full backup cycle should take place, be aware to uncheck the corresponding day in the both schedules. Thanks.
