Re: Add SCSI Controller to prevent
Hi Adrian,
Do you have application-aware image processing enabled for these VMs? If yes, do you see guest VMs failing to engage VSS with some errors like Guest processing skipped ?
By the way, is Hot-Add transport mode is used? If yes, do these VMs have IDE drives?
Thanks!

Nikita, there is no Hot-Add in Hyper-V.
Adrian, please check out this KB article, seems that it should help you: https://www.veeam.com/kb1855

Thanks for the correction nefes, the fact we are talking about Hyper-V infrastructure has slipped out of my mind.

HI!
I checked the KB in the MV and has the option Backup integration service .
All other virtual machines with the same configuration: IDE .VHD

Re: Add SCSI Controller to prevent
Do you have Windows 2012 R2 on your Hyper-V by any chance? Also, does any of your VMs actually get suspended during backup? If so, then please do the following:
1. Add SCSI adapter to your VM
2. Make sure that you have integration services installed and try to restart Volume Shadow Copy Requestor service
3. Make sure that “Backup (Volume Snapshot)” option is enabled within the VM settings
Thank you.

[MERGED] error: check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version
Good Morning
I'm backing up machines that are on a hyperv-server and one of my virtual machines is generating this error:
Processing vm02 Error: Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version)
this other error
Add a SCSI controller to virtual hardware of this VM to prevent it from suspending during backup
Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version)
Failed to create snapshot (Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0) (mode: Crash consistent) Details: Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version)
Error: Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version)
I already performed some veeam procedure, but I wanted a help from the forum friends because I still couldn't solve it.
I await help
