Licenses Exceeded

Post by JaxIsland7575 »

I have 3 Hyper-V hosts in a cluster. I added the Cluster Server (CSV-Server) to Veeam One. That includes my 3 hosts (Server1, Server2, and Server3). I have licensing for 3 hosts. Veeam One is reporting I am exceeding my licenses. I added each of the 3 hosts individually and I did not get the error. So if I add the Cluster server that counts as a fourth license?

Any help, I would appreciate.

Hello Ryan,
the product is licensed by number of CPU sockets, so if you don`t add any physical sockets, the license should work. I suspect Veeam ONE may count the servers twice, once as standalone and once in the cluster.
Have you tried to exclude all the hosts from monitoring and add the CSV Server?
Could you also provide a screenshot of License Information window?
Thanks!

How many sockets do you have on each host?

I was too quick on the trigger, I removed everything and re-added now its working as expected. The issue was they were added under the cluster and as a stand alone and I think switching around it was stale information. I cleared out all the servers, re-added, and now its working.

Thanks for the quick response.

Cheers!
