Any plan to support shared vhdx for replication in the future ?

Here is a reply from our dev. team:

Over a year (and full version & couple of revisions of Veeam) later still is a no go zone.

Which makes the whole solution (shared vhdx) a typical Microsoft half baked solution

Windows Server 2016 will include a new disk format for shared disks and will add support for host-based backups as well as using Hyper-V Replica. https://blog.workinghardinit.work/2015/ ... rver-2016/

VMWare can only do shared disks by mapping the VMs to physical iSCSI or FC luns, so VMware is even less baked than Microsoft's solution.

It does not help me NOW, that something IN THE FUTURE might work...
