(Feature Request)Petabyte+ repository showing in TB

Post by ejfarrar »

I would like to see petabytes listed as PB rather than larger numbers of TB... For example, my 8.2PB repository would not be listed as 8338.0TB...

-Thanks!

Hello Eric!
That`s an impressive number :)
I agree that we need to update that. Thanks for the request!

out of interest, what type of Repo are you using? That must be quite a beast of storage.

Most of my repo's are on 3PAR arrays. I have multiple 16TB volumes on each physical proxy and with the exception of one dedicated to EndPoint Backup clients, all others are pooled into a single scale-out repository.

My 8.2PB repository is on a Windows Server 2012 R2 cluster of four couplets - each couplet is an HA failover couplet with 70x 16TB disks behind them in RAID 6 segmets of 8 disks (DAS). This ends up as a formatted 3.1PB of space, but the thin provisioned virtual volume (in software RAID 5) across all segments of all couplets ends up as 8.2PB - I could have oversubscribed it out to 40PB but not enough to see an EB (which was what I was hoping for actually).
