Migrate veeam backups from one data domain to another?
Hello,
I've tried finding a previous post on this topic but have been unsuccessful. If there's one please let me know.
We have backups going to one data domain using ddboost and we need to start backing up to a new one also using ddboost.
Is there a simple way to do this using some sort of sync mechanism so we don't have to reseed? I'm not very familiar with the DD outside of sending veeam backups to it.
Thanks!

Do you need to transfer ALL existing backups to the new repository or just start backing up to it fresh?

All. They have a 3 year retention period.

Then native replication looks like the most efficient way to copy them (provided you have it licensed).

I forgot to mention it was DDvE. Does that change anything? Shoudl I just find an article on how to do ddboost to ddboost replication and then once it's done add 2nd dd to veeam, rescan and map the files to the job?

Correct, this is the right course of actions. DD VE changes nothing in this regard.
