Veeam Repository: connect / disconnect share or volume

Post by biapar »

Hi,

Is't possible to connect and disconnect local volume presented by SAN/DAS before and after backup job? Or Is better to send data to SFTP or FTP repository?
This is simple for network shares NFS/CIFS.

Hi, Biagio!

Yes, you should be able to achieve that using pre- and post-job script. You'd just have to make sure there's no overlapping jobs using the same target.

Better for what?

This is to protect from crypto or other problems.
Which are the commands to disconnect local volume?

This depends on your target repository. How is your repository server presented to Veeam? Is this a Linux server with a NFS share or are you using SMB3/CIFS?
