Importing backup fails

Post by dstollow »

Hi,

We have a backup we are trying to import that is quite large, showing about 27TB on disk. When I go to import the backup into the console it starts to go (get the progress bar) then nothing happens, it just closes that import window and then nothing. Ive tried importing the VIB and VBM with the same results. I slight remember reading something about if the file is over a certain size something had to be done in Windows in order to get the file to import, but I can't seem to find that again.

Has anyone seen this? None of the logs show anything that I can find, but want to see if someone thinks im missing something.

Thanks
Dave

Hi David, I suggest contacting support to take a closer look at what actually happens. Just a thought - is the Veeam B&R version the same or higher than the one this backup files was created with?

By the way, there are several ways to import backup: via vbk and via vbm. What method did you use in your case? It might be worth trying different one for the sake of testing. Thanks.
