I'm running Creators (15063.250) and attempting to format a USB drive does not give me the ReFS option.
64k - From other B&R ReFS topics, Veeam has said 64k was what to use.yasuda wrote:Which block size did you use?
I also have GPT...I just compared a USB drive to a USB stick... a 2TB USB drive shows as "Basic" in disk management and allows formatting to NTFS, exFAT or REFS. An 8GB USB stick shows as "Removable" (even though the other drive is also removable) in disk management and allows formatting to NTFS, FAT32, and exFAT (REFS is missing).I didn't have to do anything with the registry to see the ReFS option. This. I just ran into the same thing. Setting up a new USB brick for a small customer, was formatted exFat, so I diskpart/clear'ed it. The formatting from disk manager won't let you select REFS to start off. Thanks, Microsoft.adapterer wrote:For some reason you need to format the partition as NTFS first, then REFS is available.
