Version 1.5 Mailboxes not licensed
I have installed the 1.5 Beta and configured two backup jobs. Both jobs have a warning that user mailboxes are unlicensed. The only mailboxes that are being processed are shared mailboxes. The Evaluation license is installed. It shows 25,000 users, 0 used. How do we resolve this?

So you are only protecting shared mailboxes, is that correct? No "normal" users are selected?

Sorry, you misunderstand. I selected all of the mailboxes but only the shared mailboxes are being backed up. It says that the user mailboxes are unlicensed.

MAS, does both VBO Server and VBO Proxy are running under the local system account?

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Service and Veeam Backup Proxy for Microsoft Office 365 Service are both running on the Local System Account. I am using a different server as the VBO Proxy since it is directly attached to the storage being used. It also is using the Local System Account.

OK, in that case we have to review the logs from Server and Proxy. Can you share them with me via PM?

Re: Version 1.5 Mailboxes not licensed
Ok, I found the problem. I needed to create a rule in the firewall on the Backup for Office 365 server to allow TCP traffic on port 9192 which is used by the proxy server to check licensing. It would be nice if the installation of the program created the necessary firewall rules.

You mean in the Windows Advanced Firewall?
(PS: Glad it is solved though)

MAS, great find! This resolved an issue for us which support wouldn't assist on (being a BETA) and now the unlicensed mailboxes (all licensed of course) appear to be backing up.MAS wrote:Ok, I found the problem.
