It seems "Backup Cache" can work with file-level backup jobs

Post by tinkererguy »

Just a minor documentation thing I just noticed, Veeam's Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 2.0 User Guide - Limitations for Backup Cache article:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=20
lists the following:
You cannot use the backup cache for the file-level backup job.
At least with "Veeam Agent for Windows 2.0.0.700 - Workstation Edition", it would seem it does actually work after all. I've included some screenshots of my file level backup job settings, and the Backup Cache which worked fine from my hotel room yesterday, given there was no VPN to my network share back at home that's normally used for daily overnight backups. The next day, backups resumed fine, this is good!

Hi Paul,

Per the settings, you are backing up volumes. In such case, it's still image level backup mode, so backup cache can work properly.
