Backup copy job doesn't transfer files

Hi

I have set up a copy job to usb drive which is rotated twice a week, Mon and Fri.
It's scheduled to transfer data on all days except 8-4pm on Monday and 8-4pm on Fri when I swap the drive. "Copy every" is set to everyday at 4:15pm. The problem is when I swap the drive for an empty one on Mon for example the job doesn't transfer any data until Tuesday when it creates a new backup on the disk. And today restore wouldn't work saying no "avalaible restore points" (although there is over 600GB of data transferred today). When I look at the files it created 23GB .vbk and 678GB .vib?!
Can anyone suggest what I'm missing please?

Schedule on the photo:
5 jobs, 2 run every two hours, 2 once a day and there is one weekly job.

just to add: the copy job doesn't include all of the vms but it does include vms from all jobs.
