files were not found in the new location
To get more backup space, I copied all the backup files from one drive location to another. Of the three main backup jobs two run just fine. On the one that doesn't, when I try to edit the job and put in the new file location it gives the error "Cannot update the backup destination path because the following files were not found in the new location." The real mystery is that of the list it gives, some of these files are in the new location, and some aren't in the new OR old folder. What gives?

Hi Aaron, most likely some files where delete manually in the original location before you started the whole process. Thanks.

Correct, but incremental passes do not use older backup files obviously, so they are not affected. However, what is on disk still does not match what is in configuration database, so destination change fails.arsprod wrote:well, the job runs from the original location but not from the new one - suggestions?

Gostev, Is there a way to overcome this. i deleted some old files manually and the Veeam catalogue obviously has not picked this up. How can we delete these files from catalog or allow the backup job's config to accept the new destination inspite of the error.

Puneet, you may want to apply this registry key to force creation of a new backup chain: Veeam Backup 4 & removable Media
