Unexpected Thumbprint. Unable to Restore from Local Backup

I am unable to restore from my local backup repository. I receive the error below. The backup job has been running successfully every evening. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Error: "Failed to connect to Backup Server". Failed to interact with backup server. Unexpected Thumbprint"

While I do not have an answer now for current situation, I highly recommend to contact our support (this is not a support forum) and create a support ticket. If this restore is critical you can select severity 1 (production down) so that our support SWAT team can contact you immediately.

We had this after regen-ing the Veeam Self-Signed Cert. The answer is simply "restart the Veeam Backup Service" from services.msc.

Have you performed any kind of operations with B&R certificates? Do you have a support case ID?

Hi,

certificate was expired, new one already in place but need a restart until it works again

Correct, the restart of the aforementioned service is required in this scenario. Did it resolve the issue?
