Veeam Agents

I'm having a serious performance problem with veeam 5.0.1 and awaiting tech support to get back to me.

Just having a look at the running processes on my veeam server and I notice there are many VeeamAgents and a couple of Veeam.Backup.Manager open:

I've can't recall if this is normal or not. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello Jason,

Yes, it is expected to have 3-4 agents per backup/replication job. Each agent is responsible for its unique action, such as compression, working with backup storage etc. All Veeam agents are managed by Veeam.Backup.Manager, so I don't see any issues here.

As for your performance problems, please continue working with our technical support team.

Well here is my scenario.

Until yesterday night veeam 5.0.1 was working fine. All a sudden we get four failures and subsequently reboot the veeam server:



Each failure has this error message:

Publishing catalog session
Index was outside the bounds of the array.

Every since then my performance has completely tanked and backup jobs are starting to overlap (which they've never done before)

I put in two tickets and 5132612 & 5132744 and haven't heard a thing for days! Getting frustrated.
