Community Edition: Where to report issues?
Hi I'm pleased that you've released a fully-functional Community Edition of Veeam B&R but I've run into an issue straight away. I won't state it here as I realise your forum rules forbid posting problems here, but where can I discuss issues with other users? It seems to me that for it to be a 'community' edition there needs to be a place for the nascent community to discuss, and hopefully solve, their technical issues.

Re: Community Edition -- where?
Hi Chris,
Actually, our forum rules do not forbid posting problems here.
Technical issues can be freely discussed, however you must include the support case ID for the corresponding issue in your post, so that the issue can be tracked according to Veeam workflows. Besides, most of the technical issues cannot be troubleshoot without debug logs anyway, which is something you are required to provide when opening a support case. Hope this makes sense!
Best regards,
Fedor

OK but I won't have a support case ID will I, as I don't have a support contract. I'm using the free, Community Edition.
Or am I misundertanding?

You can still open up a case and get best effort support (see pg.6 of Veeam Support Policy)

Re: Community Edition: How to report issues?
We decided against creating the dedicated subforum for Community Edition, because under the hood CE is a regular Standard Edition - just limited to 10 instances. So, you should not be experiencing any different issues comparing to paying users of Standard Edition. Thanks!

Re: Community Edition: Where to report issues?
We have a problem with community edition. After 30 days trials of standard the license switch to community (10VMs) and the backup stop working (Error: Unable to use per-VM backup file chains due to a product license limitation)

Hi Sebastijan,
This is intended. Per-VM backup files placement is only available in Enterprise and Enterprise Plus editions. Please check that thread for details.
Thanks
