Alarms rules Time Period

Post by trudesea »

Hi,

I have set the "Time Period" for virtual machine cpu usage alarm to 1 hour.

The problem is I get an email when the CPU hits the Warning %. This is kind of irritating because I don't want to receive an email unless the CPU is at the warning level for at least an hour. We have 800 VMs and you can guess why I'm irritated :) Is time period not what I'm thinking it is?

If it is, then is there a way around this? We are evaluating 3.0.2.105

Thanks,
Tim

Hello Tim, yes this issue exists in the current release - it is fixed in the upcoming 4.0 release. Sorry for the inconvenience.
