Scheduled restore

Hi all,
I think could be very useful the implementation of a scheduled restore.
In our case we need to "update" the ERP's test environment every month (many gigabytes), this is very difficult to do using Powershell.
Someone thinks it could be a new feature in next releases?

sorry I forget to speak about the "scope".
I'm speaking about SQL Server database.
We have ad ERP farm composed by a production and a test environment.
We need to restoring the production databases every sunday overwriting the test databases to maintain the test data "updated", it takes about 5-6 hours.

And together with Windows Task Scheduler they would go as a good tandem, I think

Why not use replication and only replicate the disks the databases are on? Replication is faster than restore since it only replicates changed blocks.

I understand that "Powershell" is the correct way but "why" don't implement this feature in the console? (is only a question)

I suppose because of the low demand for this feature, especially since PowerShell cmdlets cover this use-case.

Please could you advise if there is a way to do a recovery in a FUTURE DATE?

1. What I would like to do is:Build a system with a certain criteria.
2. Allow students to work on system and do what they want.
3. Come Friday Night, recover system automatically.
Rinse and repeat...

Is this possible?

Actually, being a bit of a novice, the entire discussion is on how to restore sql databases. I want to restore a complete machine (or machines) at a specified time in the future? Is this the same?
