Linux Agent Discovery Problem

Post by techman2005 »

I have a Ubuntu 18.04 install that I need a linux agent installed. This agent used to work with an old install that was on the same server except I removed everything and did a clean reinstall of veeam.

The problem that I am having is that the agent discovery session always comes up with 1host processed with warnings. It seems like there is remanence that is still pointing to the old management server that I deleted. Is there an uninstall script or uninstall method I can run on the host to completely remove veeam and the try reinstalling from the new server?

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

I recommend asking support for that and please post the case number here for reference.

I just guess that you might have the same issue I had with 9.5 update 4... how did you remove Veeam? apt remove or apt purge?

I guess there are left-overs in /var/lib/veeam

Best regards,
Hannes

I also did apt purge and when I do find / -iname veeam there is 1 directory left over /var/tmp/veeam/socket/veeam.sock like you mention. Any suggestions?

--Thanks for your help
