Agent keeps installing itself on localhost (Veeam B&R Server)

The windows agent installs itself on the localhost/main B&R server. If i uninstall it, it will just reinstall itself at the next rescan. The issue is that it is hanging up and preventing the rescan from completing. Everything else rescans fine but localhost is always stuck at "pending". There are no policies i see that have anything to do with the localhost. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure whether it's a great idea to install the agent on localhost via VBR.

I would go for a standalone agent if you want to back up the backupserver.

I do not want it installed on the localhost. But it keeps automatically installing itself there after i uninstall it. Any idea on how to prevent it from auto installing?

without a case number and confirmation from support, I do not believe that we install the agent on localhost.

I have never seen that, I'm pretty sure, that it is a configuration issue.

Fixed it by going to: inventory -> right click Manually added -> Properties -> Computers -> choose localhost and click remove.
