Backup policy is scheduled but not running!

I have a Veeam Backup for Azure server correctly configured and a backup policy set-up doing repository based backups of Azure VMs scheduled to run 10pm daily.

Problem is the backups do not run on schedule (do not run at all automatically). Very weird. If I run the policy manually, backups complete to repository successfully so I know storage account connectivity is just fine.

I've tried creating a new backup policy and same thing happens. It's like the scheduling itself just isn't working. Anyone come across this before? Any help would be appreciated would love to just have these Azure VMs backed up on schedule.

Did you already try to restart the appliance to see if it resolves? If it still keeps failing to start, please open a support case and let us know the ID for insight.

Thanks. Yes appliance has been rebooted multiple times. Support case is #04384916

If I change the backup policy to hourly it appears to run automatically just not daily (everyday). Leaving it hourly for now to make sure I get a good number of successful (automatic) backups over next few hours. Will update again shortly.

Hi Justin, thanks for reporting back. Looks like something unique and let's wait for insight from support as well to see what is going wrong.

@Paolo69 there is a fix available for this, please contact support to get it and let us know the case ID for future reference.

I still don't understand the purpose of these forums. Wouldn't it be easier to tell people on the main page to create tickets for any issue instead of having them waste time searching the forums for a solution when there aren't any that are shared?

Hi Sam,

The main purpose of these forums is to allow conversations with R&D team and between community members. I.e. you are welcome to provide product feedback, ask implementation-related questions, "how to" questions, raise feature requests, etc.

Technical issues are handled purely by the support team and this is specifically mentioned when you click on the "New topic" and "Post reply" buttons. I can start the backup policy manually and the backup runs successfully.
however, it never starts automatically at the scheduled time.
