Hi,
do these options only appear when a file problem (.vib or .vbk) occurs?
If I only want to remove a retained file, the only option is to reduce the retention, correct?
Thank you.

Re: Remove a retained file
Hi Sandro,
You are right,
You are right,
Thanks!The Forget and Remove from disk options are available only for restore points that are missing from the backup chain or points that depend on missing ones. If the restore point is available in the backup chain and does not depend on a missing restore point, you will not be able to use the Forget and Remove from disk options for it.

Re: Remove a retained file
Hi,
got it. great!
Now if the disk space has run out and I can't run any routine because there is always an error, what do I need to do to reduce it?
Thank you.

Re: Remove a retained file
Sandro,
did you consider changing the retention policy?
It's definitely not recommended to remove the files manually, so I would say that the retention configuration changes should help.
You can try to do the following:
- remove the old chains;
- "forget missing backups";
- reduce the retention settings.
If you don't have any "old" backup chains on the disk, you can try to remove the files from disk - this option removes the whole backup chain - and then run the job (full backup will be created).
Also, you can configure notifications on the disk space usage (just in case) and increase the disk space.
This thread might be helpful for understanding the retention policy changes.
Thanks!
