Licensing for VeeamONE v10

Hello all,
is there a new licensing model for version 10?
I am upgrading from Ver 9.5 u4 and was wondering if I need a new license.

Same question applies for Veeam B&R

Hi Steve,

Welcome to Veeam Community Forums!

The setup will allow you to download an updated license file - this applies to the whole suite. If your servers are not connected to the internet, you may download the license manually from my.veeam.com portal.

Yes, in v10 there is a new license format. If you're on active maintenance, then you can get this license automatically or manually (like wishr has described). If you're not on maintenance, then you need to contact sales for more info on the upgrade process.

Are both licenses the same for VeeamONE and B&R?

I know to upgrade VeeamONE first, but will I get a separate license for Veeam B&R?

Also, our license is broken up into Instances and Sockets. Does the licensing schema change?

Hi,

Technically, the licenses are the same for VONE and VBR. However, you may be getting different license files for each product. You may check what licenses are available at my.veeam.com portal. You'll get a license of the same type as you had before.

Licenses are the same if we are talking about Veeam Availability Suite, however, if you have Veeam B&R standalone VUL key, then this key cannot be installed to Veeam ONE.
