job was interrupted
Hello,
we have been using VBO free for 10 of our mailbox successfully.
Now, we want to protect the whole company, and so, I get a demo licence (+10000) and add all the mailbox items to the backup job.
But it doesn't seem to work = everytime, we get a "job was interrupted" statement
Is it a known issue ? I don't get anything relevant about that

Hannes is correct.
I see it is interrupted on a specific mailbox. Is it always the same?

hi,
support case = 04597296
I don't think so = many mailbox are "interrupted" each time before the job itself is interrupted

Hello,
thanks for opening the case. To allow support helping you, they need logfiles. As far as I see, the case has no logfiles attached.
I recommend to add them. Because otherwise it will just take longer because "please send logfiles" is the first question of support

Re: job was interrupted
Here is the result of the support case =
There is not enough memory on our server. (16Gb for both Veeam B&R and VBO)
By setting the number of thread to 32 for the proxy server, il is ok
Method =
Open VBO365 UI and navigate to Backup Infrastructure. Select proxy, right-click and select Properties. 'Set the number of threads' to 32.

Hey Sogapex,
Thanks for letting us know. Are you going to increase the mem of the VBR and VBO server in the future?

Re: job was interrupted
Hi Mike,
the current server box has its EOL due to end of 2022. And so, we will try to keep it like that by the moment.
Of course, if it becomes a real problem, we will add more memory to it.
But definitevely, the next VBR server would get more memory and CPU. (in our case, this is a physical server)

Re: job was interrupted
Hi,
we got another "Job was interrupted" status.
And so, I decided to increase the backup server RAM amount (from 16Gb to 32Gb)
This server is already running Veeam B&R, and so, it seems it requires a lot of memory to get ride of both B&R jobs and VBO jobs when they are running at the same time I guess.
Regards,
Michel

Re: job was interrupted
Michel,
Yes, both solutions are pretty intensive solutions and it is not always the best to run them at the same time. That said, there is a rather easy way of getting some load of that backup server. Can you run one or two virtual machines? If so, then deploy a proxy from VBO to a running VM and let them handle the load of the jobs. That will lower the load (a lot) on your physical box

Re: job was interrupted
Hi,
in our case, the B&R jobs are already running on 2 proxies (VMs)
I am still "fighting" to get a quote for a valid licence for VBO
Once I get one, I will continue my test (This is really something I get in my mind, without support or ressources from hierarchy. I don't have much time to invest for that. But I want to prove it is important to backup Office 365 and that it is not too costy)

OK.
By the way, B&R proxies or VBO proxies are two different items
