Unable to launch Veeam Console.

Hi Team

Veeam Support Ticket: Case # 04917084


We are running Veeam Version 11. Since the last couple of days, we are not able to launch Veeam Backup and Replication console.

Its the default console installed on VBR server.

We can check from Veeam Enterprise Manager that backups are running , so nothing else seems to be broken.

We have a support ticket with Veeam ( Case # 04917084 ).

Below is the error message logged in windows event logs.

On the support recommendation, we have rebooted the server, ran sfc /scannow, ran windows memory diagnostic tool but did not find any issue.

Any one have a suggestion what could be wrong.

Hello Zaki,

I see you already have an active discussion with Support.
It does not seem to be a common issue, so I believe it should be something specific infrastructure issue. Please keep working with Support to fix your B&R Console.

Also, did it stop running without any changes on your server, maybe some OS updates/patches?

As suggested by support, Renaming the user.config file located at below path at seems to have done the trick. I am able to log in to the console now.

C:\Users\%User%\AppData\Local\Veeam_Software_Group_GmbH\veeam.backup.shell.exe_Url_hu1utqnj52thvmhrg5kie2bl15o22i22\11.0.0.0

Will keep it under monitoring for the next couple of days though. But I am sure it's fixed now
