Full backup merge (Fast Clone)

Post by kaboomza »

Hi there,

Wanted to know from you guys if I should expect slow performance on this sequence or action? I've noticed that the merge with FastClone takes a really, really long time to run and complete, is there a way to improve that performance, and for example what kind of resources are used to get that done?

Thanks in advance

Just to add, the disks in question where this is taking long are REFS disks so I should benefit from super fast FastClone process however I am not. I also see some disks configured with 4K cluster size instead of the recommended 64k so I would assume that also makes a difference ?

64k for refs is recommended. What is the bottleneck in the job statistics?
FastClone should not take a long time.

Agree with Fabian here, the provided performance looks suspicious, so might stand to reason to reach our support team for further investigation. Thanks!
